The Grange Teaching for Creativity Project

Teaching for Creativity continues the collaboration with University of Winchester and their research project to evaluate the power of creativity to embed learning across the curriculum. We will work with primary teachers , in and outside the classroom, to help them embrace creative teaching methods and use drama, music and design to enhance pupil engagement and learning. At the end of the project a teacher resource pack with detailed lesson plans will be made available to all teachers, far beyond the participating schools, to demystify creative teaching methods.

The RSYC Trust is a water activities charity for disadvantaged young people, principally young carers in Hampshire. It focuses on providing dinghy sailing, paddleboarding and kayaking experiences, with an opportunity to take national certificates. The Trust runs four water activity days annually from the RSYC’s Clubhouse at Gins on the River Beaulieu and works with partners – SWAC (Southampton) and Spinnaker Sailing Club (Ringwood) - to fund courses, that importantly enable young carers to have fun and me-time away from their caring duties, building their confidence, skills and resilience.
